Early Mistake

Day 3: There were not a lot of zombies out and about this morning when I finally got the courage to look. I did wonder where they all were thought maybe it took longer for the transformation than I thought. This lead to a very very bad mistake. I figured I'd be able to take my car around town to look for survivors. I thought the noise would attract them. Well, the noise attracted the zombies too. I got a couple blocks when I noticed they started coming out of woodwork. There was a crowd so large that it covered the whole road behind me. That is when it happened. I turned a corner and there was another large crowd of them. I had no other option than to go through them. I definitely should have picked a bigger car. I made it through, but broke down a couple blocks later. Apparently my car couldn't take the beating of running over a couple hundred zombies. I had to think of some place safe to go quickly. Then it popped into my head, the police station. Maybe there are still some survivors there and they have guns to defend against the zombie horde. I figured that would be my best bet, so I grabbed my backpack of supplies and food and ran in that direction.
When the police station was in sight, it was scene right out of a Resident Evil video game. There were bodies laying all over the place. Some were civilians some were cops. By the looks of it, most of them were killed by bullet wounds. There were some bodies that had chunks of flesh ripped out. This was a scene of a brutal attack. I was in shock just staring at it all. Then I heard moaning and was reminded of why I was running here in the first place. I picked up a gun and some ammo that were laying everywhere while I ran to the front doors. Who knows what horrors await me inside.
